...But when we find other countries copying music from elsewhere, like chinese and korean artists, ppl don't say anything, they even praise them for doing a good job. I don't get, I guess society just hates Viet ppl, no matter how good we are, there's always fingers pointing at us accusing us of plagiarizing, when we are not!

and I feel that Vietnamese music industry always becomes a target of degradation by people of other ethnicity, even Vietnamese ppl, because it's an easy target, and no one seems to like our country, so they like to crazily go find vietnamse videos and criticize and find fault with them.

...So, I don't think he should be criticized heavily because he did add a lot of his own notes/melody/music to uoc gi. From what I can hear from both, there's only a small portion of Brickman's melody that I can hear in Uoc Gi. And in music I believe there are coincidence all the time.

I don't think he really intentionally stole the melody from Brickman. I think he was inspired by this melody, and used a portion of it to develop uoc gi, because it is obvious that he had added a lot of additional music/melody/notes to uoc gi that were his because uoc gi does have additional music that cannot be heard in Jim Brickman's version. So what Vo thanh tien have done was Composer: Jim Brickman with additional music by Vo Thien Thanh.

No one is condemning My Tam here, people. They are criticizing Vo Thien Thanh for claiming the song is his. By definition, such action is called "stealing." It should be labeled as the following:Ca Si: My TamNhac: Jim BrickmanLoi: Vo Thien ThanhVo Thien Thanh thought he could get away with it because he assumed no one in Vietnam would know about it. Go get some rat dishes, Vo Thien Thanh.
